In choosing a company name we wanted to use a word that would be a counterpart to the French word giclée. We chose the Italian word for light which is luci. Then we dropped the (i) in luci and added (hae) so that it would rhyme with giclée. Our logo is meant to represent a star shining a ribbon of light that spells the word Luchae with red being the first color of the visible spectrum and violent being the last color of the visible spectrum.
